Rehearsal Location: My home in Shamrock Estates

Performance Location: Higley Center for the Performing Arts—Little Theater

Dates: 7/27, 8/3, 8/10, 8/17, 8/24, 8/31, 9/7 and 9/12 (Final performance is a Thursday evening)

Are you ready for a starring role?

In this seven-week course of Saturday classes, each student will get a chance to pick a solo or duet from this session’s theme: The Classics. We will perform songs from My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls, Cinderella, Annie Get Your Gun, Hello Dolly, and many other classic musical favorites. Along with each performer’s chosen solo or duet, we will learn group numbers—complete with choreography and acting coaching. 

On the eighth week, we will perform our showcase in the HCPA Little Theater. The entire experience will be as much like a Broadway musical review as possible, and the final show will have costumes, makeup, lighting, professional sound equipment, and a live piano player.

The class is open to performers age 14 to 18. Due to class time constraints and performance time limits, each class will have a maximum of fifteen students.

Our dress rehearsal and performance is on Thursday, September 12. The fee for each student is $180 for the entire experience, which is about a fourth of the cost of regular private lessons for the same amount of time.
